MCDC Chair Laura Walker hosts a forum for Columbus City Council District 4 candidates Elaine Gillespie and Toyia Tucker. Both are running for an open seat vacated in 2019 by Evelyn Turner-Pugh and held by Valerie Thompson, who is serving the remainder of Turner-Pugh’s term.

Walter Taylor. District 3 incumbent Vanessa Jackson was unable to attend due to her job in childcare which conflicted with the timing of this forum.
MCDC hosts two Democratic primary candidates for Sheriff – incumbent Donna Tompkins and challenger Pam Brown – in a candidate forum. Outgoing Marshal Greg Countryman stated in advance his absence due to a prior engagement.
